Help!!! My Waist Trainer Keeps Digging into My Sides – Tips

My first waist trainer tried to take my life. Oh stop it, don’t laugh! Believe me, I’m not trying to be dramatic but it almost made me doubt my decision-making skills. However, it was a while later I realized that I had bought the wrong size which was why my waist trainer kept digging into my sides, causing me pain and giving me scars.

Sometimes I beat myself up thinking of how I casually bought a waist trainer without verifying size. Don’t be like me!

So, waist trainer tips, how to ensure that you get a wonderful experience from waist training using waist trainers/cinchers? I have got some tips for you and no, I won’t hoard them like indomiennnn!

Know Your Correct Size

It is absolutely important that you know your correct size. You should also be aware that your shirt size is not the same when you’re trying to ascertain your waist trainer size. Knowing your body type is key when choosing a waist trainer also. It helps avoid stories that touch (if you know what I mean)

Choose a high-quality waist trainer.

Well-made corsets and waist trainers will feel strong and secure, the seams will be well-stitched and, if they have bones, these will not dig into your body when the corset is on.

If it’s a lace-up corset or cincher, the grommets should also be well secured, and the corset should not buckle under the tension of being laced up. A waist trainer is something that you’ll be wearing every day, for several hours a day, so get one with the highest quality to enjoy your waist training experience.

Don’t tighten too much too fast.

If you tighten your corset before your body is ready, you’ll risk spoiling the corset and hurting yourself in the process. Go slow. Remember that a properly seasoned corset will mould to your body, which makes it much more comfortable to wear. Regardless of what type of waist trainer you’re wearing, remember not to tighten it to the maximum the first time you put it on. Give it time to mould to your body, and in the long run, it’d be much more comfortable and effective.

Go slow

From the first few days – days 4 to 14 of wearing your corset or trainer, gradually increase your wear time from around 2 hours a day to 6 to 8 hours a day, or more. Don’t immediately start wearing your corset for 12 hours a day because it works best if you ease into it. Even when you’re advanced, you can get away with 6 to 8 hours a day and still see results. Latex waist-trainer experts recommend wearing them for 8 to 10 hours each day.

If you wear a waist trainer in your perfect size, I promise that you’d love the experience of having and using one. So get on the train and use these waist trainer tips, will you!
