A study of 276 people found that every 15-minute increment of sedentary behaviour was associated with a 0.05-inch (0.13-cm) increase in waist size. Sedentary behaviour was defined as reclining or sitting. 

It’s as simple as the little things. Creating a habit like getting up every 30 minutes to walk to the water dispenser can make a big difference for getting rid of love handles.

Investing in a smartwatch or phone is also a great way to track your steps and see exactly how many steps you take during the day.




Healthy Diet

You don’t need to say it. I know what you are thinking. I talk too much about having a healthy diet. But…but.. it’s the truth! The most important factor in eliminating love handles is incorporating a healthy diet. Here is a couple of recommended healthy ways to help you lose a few inches:

  • Drink more water every day (at least 2 litres)
  • Eat more vegetables and fruits per day
  • Cut fried foods and cheese
  • Reduce processed sugar. Stay off sodas, cookies, candy and snacks. 
  • Cut down fatty red meat 
  • Your waist trainer should be your best friend
