FUPA and Everything About it

FUPA and Everything About it

If you’ve ever tried wearing a bodycon/ bandage dress and you took it off disappointingly after looking into the mirror, just know that you aren’t alone. The truth is that excess fat – no matter which area of the body it accumulates in is considered sexy. One such type of excess fat is FUPA. While women are mainly worried about FUPA for aesthetic reasons, men fear that FUPA will make their male organ look shorter due to the fat pad engulfing the bottom of the penis, even though the size of the penis itself has not changed.

Let’s talk FUPA – what is it, what causes it, and how to get rid of it…

FUPA is an acronym for Fat Upper Pubic Area. It refers to the fat deposition that can be seen in the area below the belly button and above your pubic hairline.

In August 2018, Beyonce made the terms go viral in an interview with Vogue magazine where she spoke out about learning to embrace her curvier post-pregnancy figure after the birth of her twins in July 2017.

To this day my arms, shoulders, breasts, and thighs are fuller. I have a little mommy pouch, and I’m in no rush to get rid of it. I think it’s real. Whenever I’m ready to get a six-pack, I will go into the beast zone and work my ass off until I have it. But right now, my little FUPA and I feel like we are meant to be.

So I know you are curious about what causes Fupa
Rapid weight gain and loss

If you suddenly gain a lot of weight, your skin around the abdomen and below it will expand to accommodate the excess fat cells.

Over the years, various studies have proved that genetics plays a crucial role in obesity and weight gain.

Stress and anxiety

When you are stressed or anxious, your body releases a hormone called cortisol. This hormone encourages the accumulation of fat in the abdominal area.

When you are pregnant, the rectus abdominis muscles expand and separate vertically down the middle to make room for the baby.

Do you have FUPA? Now is the time to shake it off!!!!
Vitamin C-rich foods

Vitamin C does a lot to reduce stress which is why orange extracts find their way into most of our beauty products! The top 5 vitamin C choice to invest in are Oranges, Bell-peppers, Lemons, Strawberries and Papaya. These foods will also help to reduce bloating.

Waist training

Choose a waist trainer with front closure with hooks and boning structure. Don’t forget waist trainers with spiral steel boning are better than the plastic ones due to the durability factor. Then make sure your waist trainer should be tight enough, and without any bulge. If you want to get rid of FUPA quickly, you have to combine a proper diet and calories control, such as lean beef, fibre vegetables, fish and roast chicken with low saturated fat.

The Right Carbs

You already know that refined and white carbohydrates – like flour, bread, pasta, rice, etc. – are bad for FUPA. Complex brown carbs, however, are good. So you only have to pick the right ones, like Oatmeal, Sweet potatoes, bananas, beans, yoghurt, carrots.

Yoga will not only improve muscle tone and cut down your stress, it will also keep FUPA away once you have lost it! Some of the best yoga positions for FUPA include Boat pose (Paripurna Naavasana), Bridge pose (Setu Bandha Sarvangasana), Crane Pose (Bakasana) and the Extended Puppy pose (Uttana Shishosana).

Liposuction is the least invasive option you have for surgically removing FUPA. However, it is important to remember that it works best to remove fat from ‘pockets’ of the body, and not for overall fat reduction. Also be reminded that liposuction will get rid of only fat, and not loose skin.

Core Strengthening Exercises

Core strengthening exercises are nothing but those exercises which work your abs. Planks, crunches, push-ups, leg-raises, mountain climbers, are all included in this category.

If you have concerns about your FUPA, don’t despair: you can make your body bikini-ready for Detty December by adopting a few lifestyle changes. If you have more questions, we are always ready to answer them below.
